Jessica Burgardt

Jess has been teaching Group Fitness since 2004. She began by teaching Hip Hop Cardio classes and Yoga in Blue Springs, Missouri and Lenexa, Kansas. When she returned to Casper in 2007 she had added Zumba and Spencer Mat Pilates to her repertoire. She joined the WAC in 2008 and has been teaching a variety of classes ever since.

Jess holds certifications/licenses for the following classes:

  • Strong by Zumba
  • Zumba Basics level 1 and 2
  • Zumba Toning
  • Zumba Sentao
  • Sport Yoga
  • Spencer Mat Pilates
  • ACE Group Fitness Instructor
  • Group Step
  • Group Kick

She has also completed continuing education courses with the following certifications:

  • Stability Ball/BOSU
  • Kickboxing
  • Iron Yoga
  • Core Conditioning

She is also a former ACE certified Personal Trainer. Jess has a background in dance and gymnastics and has taught dance for over 20 years. She loves being active and is passionate about sharing her knowledge with others.

As our Massage Director, Jess received her Associate of Arts in Occupational Studies – Therapeutic Massage in January of 2007 from Heritage College in Kansas City, Missouri.  She started her massage career doing corporate chair massage for various companies in the Kansas City area.

She began doing massage at the WAC in July 2008.  She does Deep Swedish and Deep Tissue massages, as well as sports, prenatal, trigger point work, and basic Swedish.  Jess has an extensive education background focusing on Anatomy and Physiology, Kinesiology, Biology, Prevention and Care of Athletic Injuries, and Exercise Science.  Her background in fitness and dance also aids her in her understanding of the body and how it works.

Jess and her family go camping, kayaking, hiking and adventuring in the summers and skiing in the winters.  She loves board games and has 7 different versions of Monopoly.
